Frequently asked questions
Why does the live ranking differ from the official one?
The official ATP and WTA rankings are published on Mondays. The live ranking keeps calculating: points from tournaments being played right now are added, and points from the same tournament last year drop off. On the Monday after the tournament both should match again. Small differences are possible, e.g. due to special rules (protected rankings after injury, mandatory tournaments) or when results arrive late.
How up to date is the data?
Matches in progress in the Live tab and in the draw are reloaded every minute while the page is open. The live ranking uses results that are at most about 30 minutes old. Pull down to refresh. The data comes from an external provider; occasionally it arrives late or is missing.
Where do I see Challenger and ITF tournaments?
The live ranking and its points cover the ATP and WTA Tour events (Grand Slams, 1000, 500 and 250 tournaments). You can add Challenger and ITF: tap the filter at the top and switch on “Challenger” and “ITF”. They then appear in the calendar and in the results, and in the rankings players who are still in such a tournament get a grey row. Points from Challenger and ITF events do not count in the live ranking. Challenger and ITF are part of Toura Pro.
What do the colours in the rankings mean?
Blue (ATP) or pink (WTA) row: the player is still in the running tournament; on the right you see the round, the tournament level and the place. Grey row: still in a Challenger or ITF tournament. All other rows are neutral.
How do I see only my favourites?
Tap the star at the top left (in the rankings and in the scores): the list then shows only the players you have marked; the rows look as usual. You mark players with the star on the player page.
What is the comparison (H2H)?
The head-to-head (Toura Pro) shows the record of two players, the record by surface and all their previous meetings. You find it in the “H2H” tab on the player page (you can change the players at the top) and at the bottom of every match page.
Why is the news in English?
The “News” tab shows headlines, videos and podcasts from international tennis media – currently in English only, so everyone gets the same selection with preview images. Tapping opens the article at the publisher, a video in the YouTube app.
I don’t get any notifications.
Alerts for favourites are part of Toura Pro. Check that your subscription (or the trial) is active (About the app → Toura Pro), under “About the app” that alerts are on and which kinds you chose, and in the iPhone settings → Notifications that the app may send them (the “iPhone settings” entry under “About the app” takes you there). Alerts are only sent for players you have marked as favourites with the star: when their next match is set, when it starts, they win a set or the match is over (with the result). For this the app registers your favourites with our server.
The app says “No internet connection” or “Request quota used up”.
Without internet the app shows the last saved data. “Try again” reloads as soon as you are back online. “Request quota used up” means the app has used up the allowed requests to the data provider for the moment; the message tells you when new data will be available again. Please let us know if this happens often.
Can I turn off vibrations (haptics)?
Yes: tap the logo at the top → “About the app” → Haptics.
How do I delete my data?
Favourites and settings are stored on your iPhone; deleting the app removes them. Only for alerts does our server store a push token, your language, the time zone, the chosen kinds of alerts and the numbers of your favourites – no names. You delete this by switching notifications off in the app or removing all favourites (also when your subscription ends); at the latest 90 days after you last used the app, the server deletes it by itself. More in the privacy policy.
What is Toura Pro?
Toura Pro is the subscription with every feature: alerts for favourites, head-to-head (H2H), points breakdown, detailed stats and titles, ranking history, Challenger and ITF, plus archive and past champions. New subscribers try it free for 7 days, then it costs CHF 1.00 per month or CHF 9.00 per year (slightly different by country). The live rankings, scores, calendar, search, player profile and news stay free.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Subscriptions run through Apple: iPhone settings → your name → Subscriptions → Toura → Cancel subscription. The subscription continues until the end of the paid period; if you cancel during the 7-day trial, nothing is charged. Apple grants refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I restore my purchases?
In the app open “About the app” → Toura Pro and tap “Restore purchases”. This also works on a new iPhone with the same Apple ID.
